Care Homes who care, connect and understand

A good example is The Fremantle Trust; who understand that relatives need regular contact with their loved ones.... and have implemented safe procedures to make this happen.

"Fremantle has indoor and out door regular visits, its homes have had some coronavirus cases, but none since visits restarted. 'We're finding there is no link between visits and Covid cases.  When people have visitors, you have much better outcomes: fewer falls, far better emotional wellbeing."

Sunday Times September 6, 2020 Rosamund Urwin.

Visiting relatives need to be included in the government support for Care Homes initiative and have testing on a regular basis as do the staff and residents.

Lessons have been learnt; temperatures are taken of all visitors and staff, oxygen levels are checked, everyone has to wear PPE/masks, hands need to be washed properly on entrance to the homes and at any sign of illness people stay at home.  It is clear and easy to follow and that way residents will stay connected to their families and feel less abandoned.

Who in your community is setting a good example to stop using single use plastic and which of the supermarkets are still wrapping single oranges and cucumbers in plastic?
