There is definitely an art to matching food and drinks
It increases the enjoyment of a meal
I am sharing some top tips I learnt along the way and will introduce you to experts who know masses more than I do

WINE PAIRINGS / MATCHES

Tomato pairing
Elsa Pink.jpg

Having discovered that Derbyshire has at least one vineyard, and I have been based in the Midlands during this lockdown/pandemic, it seemed churlish not to support a local product. This wine is an excellent pairing with the Tomato bruschetta recipe

It is Elsa Pink 2018 from Amber Valley Wines

Grapes: Rondo and Phoenix

Clear, bright salmon pink.  Light red fruit nose with floral hints. This is packed with strawberries, raspberries and crunchy cranberry flavours with a rounded stone fruit and peach finish on the palate; with a hint of creaminess making it a perfect dry rose for summer drinking on its own, with our tomato bruschetta and also with summery puddings like strawberries or Eton Mess

Why it matches well?  It has enough acidity to compliment the acidity of the Tomatoes/Strawberries

A non alcholic option would be: Cranberry
